Posts: 1283 | I have a couple questions about line. First do you think color matters to muskies? PP marine blue would just look awesome on my combos. 2nd question is how is the 80#Super Slick compared to regular PP?? I normally use 832 or PP. Thanks, Mike

Posts: 860 Location: NE Ohio | i always take a black permanent marker like a sharpie and color the first 10' of line or so that connects to the lure. when your using it you sure can see the differance in the water when the lure gets close. i figure that if i can see it well the fish can see it really well if its not colored. the black really blends in well. give it a try, what do you got to lose? it fades away after about 3 trips and needs re-applied so if you don't like it you don't even need to cut that section off. but i really think it helps IMO. i think the 832 is better than the PP but i do use both.

Same thing with baits, lots of guys use black topwater because it silhouettes against almost any light condition. I like Cortland Masterbraid or the 832 as well. Both have treated me well.

Posts: 1283 | I like the 832 also, just wish it came in blue. Its is smoother and quieter but fades faster, and shows a bit more fraying. However I dont think the tiny bit of fraying effects the line strength, and I check/change often enough that I dont feel it would be a major issue. I like trying new things so I ordered some of the super slick to test out, if that doesn't work out Ill either try out the masterbraid or back to 832.

Posts: 283 | I use blue power pro super slick, I don't believe color matters, I use blue because I like the color. I put it on this spring and noticed it has faded quite a bit. It frays some but I haven't seen it really hinder it's strength.
