Posts: 134 | "need" seems to be the key word there. You probably "should" fog them. It doesn't hurt anything, it's cheap, just one more preventative step. sooooo, why not?

Posts: 2097 | I put a tsp of oil in the block and do the same with my optimax. I am sure it will take longer than the winter to form rust though in my oppinion.

Posts: 5874 | Is your 4-stroke injected or carbed? If carbed, go ahead. If injected, I would not, as you run the risk of clogging the injectors. Putting oil in the cylinder does nothing, but create a puddle of oil that will likely foul your plugs next spring on first start. Run Stabil or your preferred brand of fuel stabilizing product through the motor, check/replace fuel filter/water separator, check the lower unit for water, repair seal if required, replace lower unit lube, check/repack you trailer wheel bearings, and plug in your onboard charger. You'll be good to go next spring.

Posts: 2097 | If optimax, I run the additives they recommend. Put quickstore in the last tank of the year.
