I like my Shimano Calcutta 400 and Curado 300EJ but I'm looking for a new reel for son-in-law who fishes Garcias now.

I've heard the Daiwa Luna 253 is one of the best and I see it's got many of the Curado features.

I have 4-253 and really like them. All my reels go in every other year for service. I have never had an issue with any of them.
