Posts: 49 | My low oil pressure light came on today, what could this mean? Could it simply be low oil level? I haven't checked it all season... Thanks for the help!

Posts: 49 | You're he second person who's mentionned that 'reminder function' but strange that the manual doesn't mention it no?

Posts: 3469 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya, I would suspect a low oil situation for it to come on. If you have not checked it, that would be first on the list. If it is low, get it to level and see if the light goes off. If so, problem solved. If not, I'd be a little more skeptical of something bigger going... Steve

Posts: 518 Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | NOT TO WORRY Its a Oil change reminder system this is from my OWNER'S MANUAL SUZUKI DF 90 - DF 115 - DF 140 and should be the same on your DF 50. This tells you that your hours between oil change is up. you can cancel the reminder system and go on fishing for as long as you like it just that you need a oil change. to cancel the system with the engine off 1. turn your key to the ON position, Pull up or out the emergency stop switch Knob 2. three times in 10 seconds, A short beep will be heard if the cancellation is successfully finished. 4. Turn the ignition to the OFF position. 5. reset the stop switch plate to the original position. Even if the oil is replaced. It is still necessary to reset the system.

I haven't checked it all season... Thanks for the help! Put oil in. If that doesn't work, and you're not a suzi mechanic, bring it in. Had a really FUN time when my low pressure oil pump went out as I eased away from the launch in CANADA...
