I have a Frabil net, but replaced the bag with a Beckman Finsaver. I extend the net and put the hand on the front deck of the boat with the hoop over my driver side console. Or I extend the net and put the hoop over the engine.

I have a Ranger 188 muskie edition boat. In essense it is a bass boat with not a lot of floor space, but plenty of casting deck space. The net takes up a lot of room, no matter what, but I like that hoop over the driver's console best.

The Ranger nets are the worst I have ever seen. One of the Charter Captains I work for during summer uses them be cause he gets them for free. He goes threw 4-6 a year, they bend up very badly, the netting rips very easy have had several fish rip right threw the bags. he bought a Beckman as a back up and we trashed that one also.
I quit using Beckman years ago due to net problems , Seen fish rip right threw a bag on 2 week old Beckman last summer. Frame bends easy also
I use a Frabill Power catch big game best net I have used. Im on the same bag for 6 years not one rip or tear and never bent any part of frame ever.

I have the beckman pensaver bag on a frabill conservation net and think it works great. Super light and fish friendly. I have yet to have fish break through the netting;-)

Thanks for the info on the Ranger net I guess I'll buy a different net to put on it. Was to good of a deal I thought but I bought it any way it has a 7 or 8 ft fiberglass handle so at least that is worth the $20 I spent on it.

For those that have the Big Kahuna, how is it netting a fish by yourself or solo? Thinking about getting one but fish alone alot and wondering if that would be an issue.

I have the power stow and its been great. When not using it I can put it completely away and when I am it on deck. Hooks havent been a real problem either and a 47" fish was small in the net.

I have a Big Kahuna and have netted several fish by my self. Just take your time go slow .. Once they are in it is game over.
I would not trade it for another.

I really lime the frabill big game with the thicker mesh. Fish can't seem to roll up and tangle in it lime a lighter mesh net.

I used to use the Big Kahuna, but it's just too hard for me to net them by myself. I guess I'm getting old.

Does anyone know if the Frabill powercatch or conservation net will fit under a standard boat cleat like a Beckman will?

Frabill Power Catch netting will indeed fit under a cleat. With plenty of room to spare.

Beckman nets have been discontinued curious as to why Lindy ( Pure Fishing ) would buy them out and in the mater of a few months shut it down. Did they have other products beside nets that Lindy is keeping?
