I wanna try making my own bulldawgs. I was just wondering, is it easier to color the baits with liquid dye, powdered dye, or something like alumidust?

In Musky Hunter's June/July 2013 issue Bob Turgeon wrote an article on custom coloring plastic baits after their made. Here's the link for the product he uses..

I'm wondering about coloring baits before or after I set the plastisol in the mold?

By dusting the mold prior to pouring your bait you will get a stronger bond than if you were to apply after molding your baits.
