Does anyone know if Lakemaster Rainy/LOTW V. 3.0 works with Gen 2 units as it did for Gen 1 units. I show depths about 3X more on chart but everything else is the same. I use Navionics for WI/MN but have always used the LM chip for LOTW.

I went back to the V2.1 upgrade for Gen 2 units and the old Lakemaster V3.0 chip works great. So it is the V3.0 upgrade to Gen 2 units that messes with the map. So, Good news is that one can use an old LM chip with Lowrance Gen 2 units. Just do not upgrade to 2.5 or 3.0.

Lowrance just stated that Lowrance is not compatible with Lakemaster chips.

Take a look at the Navionics web app, here is a link to wep app you can preview http://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en click on the Sonar Icon on the lower left corner for the SonarCharts or Fish n Chips view. SonarCharts is available on Nav + and Hotmaps Platinum chip. If you have any questions ask away I will check back.

Sneaky - is there a way to go back to V2.1 if you're already running on V3.0? I just received a replacement unit that's already been upgraded to V3.0 and am having the same issues. So annoying!

I have 2.1 on my desktop. I probably could e-mail if I had an address. Lowrance might still have it available also.
