Posts: 22 Location: Gods Country | I finally broke my slump after a LONG two year drought. Not only did I get the musky slime back on my hands, but I was able to cross off 2 things on my bucket list at one time. I busted my hump fishing, reading, watching everything that involved muskie, but could not catch break. That was until I acted on the best advice I found on this forum, "hire a guide". I did some research on guides and found Jeff Van Remortel out of Minocqua, it was the best decision I made. We were only 2.5 hours in our trip when I landed a behemoth 52" x 23" (check) tiger musky (check) in the net. The fight was short and sweet. I had no clue how huge this fish was until we got it out of the net. We got measurements, pictures and go pro footage in before we released the hawg back. By the end of the trip we raised 4 musky, had a 48"+ go aerial and spit my lure, and my buddy caught his first musky (which almost was eaten by a mid 40"). It was definitely a trip for the books. I learned new things but also learned that I was doing a lot of things right. I can't stop looking at this fish. Feels good to be in the 50" club Attachments ---------------- 52X23Tiger Musky.jpg (166KB - 358 downloads)

It made the Suick FB site which surprised me. Never would've guessed. I know right how you feel and justifiably so. Beautiful fish!! Jeremy.

Posts: 22 Location: Gods Country | Thanks for the compliment guys! I do plan on getting her replicated, I kinda have too. I don't see the muskie gods giving up a fish like this to me in the near future. I was recommended to get the fish replicated by LAX, supposedly they do a legit paint job on tigers. As for guides, Jeff Van Remortel is the man! Super down to earth and easy to talk to. Looking to book another trip with him next year.
