Anybody have any thing to say about river pro boats? Have gotten information from some other sites pertaining to walleye, catfish and bass fishing but thought I would ask on a musky forum. Thanks

Fantastic boats! Great handling, run very shallow, and top notch fit and finish. Not terrible on fuel if you can keep your foot out of it...for a jet boat anyway. Check out riversmallies.com. Those guys deal quite a bit with these boats. Kevin Turner, the owner of the company frequents the forum as well.

I looked at one for a long time. they are sweet. very wide bottom I believe they have a 72" bottom 90" plus beam. The way they are designed they run a lake a little better than a outboard jet. very stable, fast, smooth riding boat. They were a little pricey for me to buy knowing im going to be banging into rocks. That said if you don't mind dropping the coin go for it, or look for a used one. but if you see one buy it quick cause they don't last long. Another option is rockproof boats. They sell a river rocket that is built off a mod v jon boat with same motor. those can have uhmw put on the bottom which helps with running shallow water. there is a used one on craigslist now. If you want send me a pm and i will send you the link.

I just picked up a Legend SS with a 150 opti max jet drive. Has the tri-hull very smooth ride...

Did a little "googling" and found the craigslist link to the River Rocket. Man, oh man, that thing is CRAZY! A jon boat with a 200 opti...Jet? Wow. I'd like to go for a ride in that! That's riverboating in STYLE.

I won't post any specifics here, but one of our members on riversmallies who goes by the name of "rooster" purchased a rockproof "river rocket" not too long ago and the boat has shown to be far from what is advertised in terms of durability. If you are thinking of dropping that kind of coin on such a boat I suggest doing a little digging there... If you're looking for a boat that can take abuse, check out what Tom Snyder has to offer....
