Very sad news. I just saw Merv a couple of weeks ago. It was always a pleasure to chat with him. His book is a great read and is worth tracking down. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I just got my reels back from him a couple weeks ago. Talking to his wife then, it didn't sound good. If you ever find a copy of the book "Netting Reel Memories" by Merv, it is a nice book. Prayers going out to his wife. He was a great for muskies, and fishing in general

I just got word that there will be a visitation for Merv, at Braham Covenant Church, in Braham (of course) from 4-7 on Wednesday, and the Funeral is Thursday at 2:00. He was part of North Metro Muskies.
