I put a 859 unit on my bow this year and I can't get the depth to read if my terrova is running at casting speeds? If I crank the speed to over 60% or so then the depth reads fine, but at 20-30% it reads crazy deep numbers? If I shut the motor off, it reads fine, but as soon as you turn the blades back on it loses depth again. It is hooked to the us2 but so was my previous Lowrance and I didn't used to have this problem. It's driving me nuts! Please help.

You need ferrite clamp that's cleans out electrical interference. It's a type of magnet. We use them in a lot of high end audio installs.

Get a line in accessory from humminbird that dampens the rfi. It works really well at eliminating the interference

It is not side imaging. Do I get this ferrite thing from H-bird or radio shack and how much do they cost?

I too would like a bit more information on this Ferrite Clamp?

Which one in particular should a guy get? As in size or part number?
Which cable does it go on?
Where do you locate it on the cable?
Where do you get one?

I never heard of this problem before but I have a similar setup but haven't tried it yet.

Thanks for the help.

Are they powered by separate batteries? Humminbird makes a Trolling Motor Choke part TMC-1.

The down imaging won't work with the US2 on the Terrova, but the will return regular sonar just fine.

But I agree, sounds like electrical interference>> call customer support

The DI uses a different transducer than the us2. If you run just 2d off your DI unit attached by us2 it will not work as well. I have been there done that. Bought myself a hummingbird 2d sonar and it works perfectly with the us2.

I had Lowrance and Humminbird DI units running off my us2 transducer last year in regular 2d sonar just fine..
Not sure why it didn't work for you CRL, but I agree with MTcook.
