The Twin Cites Metro Muskie tournament was won a few years ago throwing pounders in open water in a 180 acre lake

They will work in many small lakes every bit as good as a bigger lake. Best yet, many guys don't/won't throw them, so it's something they rarely see.

They have been good on tigers in areas peple believe they will only hit small baits. BR

k thanks because at the lake i fish at everyone is throwing magnums so i didnt know if there was a reason

The larger splash can displace water in the smaller lakes

It can be a problem keeping the lure from flying over small lakes and landing on shore. Its Ok as long as you don't hook someone's dog. Cats are Ok and can actually work well as trailers, but dogs are usually to big. However, I've heard that toy poodles work sometimes - especially for tigers.
