Howdy,

I'm looking to book a couple of weeks with one of these camps and wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations? Internet searches on all of them have been very positive so any first hand suggestions would be appreciated! I would plan on bringing my own boat regardless of the location.

Take care,

Ruddiger

Do you have any options that you do/do not want to pay for regarding the trip?
I only ask because this may enable you to eliminate one or more options.

I myself looked at two of the above options (Witch Bay and Andy Myers) for my 2012 trip before finally choosing Andy Myers. Here are some of my reasons why.
1) Talking personally with Steve Herbeck about options and expectations
2) Recommendations from those I have personally fished with who had actually been to the camp.
3) Recommendations from camp owners and guides at the "musky shows"
4) Guides on full time staff who fish the lake for muskie from opening to closing day
5) Ability to choose the American Plan option (some may not even offer this option)
6) Ability to choose fly-in options for other near by lakes (did not actually do this but liked the option)
7) Possibility of a true fish of 50 inches/40 pounds. Many of which not only have stories but also pictures to prove.
8) Possibility to also fish for other species (Many will not do this but traveling with family makes this a great options - walleye, smallmouth, lake trout, and pike).

If you have not yet talked to camp owners, please do.
Phone calls will do , but meeting them at a show in person cannot be under estimated.

Howdy,

Im pretty much looking for a cabin, a dock, a guide for a day and a meal plan if I'm alone, if not I would do housekeeping.

Thanks,

Ruddiger
