I am...... Wish I'd have had more time. Could have filled 6 coolers of these guys. Filled this one up in about an hour and a half.

I did catch them off a shocking boat, but all hook and line. They are ridiculously easy!

Absolutely nothing... $12.00 or so for a 30 pack at the Wal Mart in St. Croix Falls... usually get strange looks pushing 2 cart fulls

What would you compair those to? Perch? Crappies? Pike? I've eaten white bass and wasn't a fan.

Ditto. Also, I didn't think frying them was where it's at. I thought you're supposed to smoke them.

Fried white fish sounds sorta gross.

Gillespie loves fried whitefish!

I haven't had them fried either, but they are just downright awesome smoked. Eat them plain smoked and then make several different cracker dips out of the smoked meat as well.

Those look a lot more like salt water stripers than white bass (yes, I know there were caught in fresh water). Are those hybrids and how do they taste ? Salt water stripers taste great.

Striped bass are outstanding. Those look like baby stripers or wipers. Either way, they look darn tasty.
I heard Keystone was b-stock Coors. Can anyone confirm that?

Freshwater striper is very good!

I no longer get bitter beer face since switching to Keystone Light... Coors Brewing used to own Keystone and still does I believe.

white bass, stripers, and hybrids are all pretty good eating if you remove 100% of the bloodline and red meat

Hamms. Also $12.00 for a 30 pack at Woodman's and tastes way better than Keystone. And brewed in Wisconsin.

Anyway, Nice work, Pointer. peanut oil indeed.

These are freshwater striped bass. They are delicious.

I hear a lot about cleaning out the blood line and all the red meat, but in my experience it really isn't necessary. I clean them just like walleyes and I haven't had a bad one yet. And we catch them by the cooler full.

Northwind Mark has it right with the Hamms mention. It's not bad at all for a "bargain" beer. I just hope that the dang hipsters don't fall in love with Hamms the way they did with PBR and drive the prices up.

I still defer to my personal holy trinity of Schlitz/Leinie's/Point but when faced with trying to save a few bucks, Hamms it is. A couple of years ago I grabbed a 30 pack of Beer 30 for around 8 bucks. That stuff is awful.

I remember a summer when me and all my buddies were all unemployed at the same time. We survived on Rhinelander Bock and Falls City. 6 packs of returnable bottles for $2, and you got 50 cents back when you brought the bottles back...

Now THAT was some BAAD beer. Gah! Sad thing was the summer before we used to drive up to Milwaukee just to buy Sprecher because you couldn't get it down here.

Those things look tasty!!! As for the beer argument I will let you guys know that coors light and keystone are brewed together and the top ~2/3 of the beer Vat or Fermenting Vessel is Coors Light and the remaining is Keystone Light. They do that because the top is much "cleaner" or clear while the bottom tends to collect Trub or sediment that can give slight off tastes and be less crisp. Majority of the time you can barely taste a difference. Hope this helps!

Guys, I was talking about Good Beer,.... Not the Swill that you guys drink.

We want something that enhances the flavor of the fish,... Not kill it.

Keystone doesn't kill the flavor of the fish. It just kills your taste buds, your sense of smell, and your sense of decency.
