Chris,
With all the rain and snow melt we have had the past week or so I would imagine it has come up quite a bit. Saylorville is up to the point that they were letting out 2890 cfps this morning, up from 200 cfps 2 days ago. I know it was down around 3.5 to 4 feet at one point but it should be back up at least half that by now if not more.

Perc, have you heard any estimates of water level?

I live in the country NE of the lake near Manly
13.5 inches of wet heavy snow after 1.5 inches of rain last weekend and rain ice mix 2 weeks ago plus a bit of snow this weekend. Plus they are predicting more next weekend. I bet the lake levels will be up a good bit. Had so much water, now ice standing in the yard that it is backed up into the barn. 5 weekends in a row of measurable precipitation if we get hit next weekend. Only 3 of the 5 have been much, it all helps. We need the moisture hope the wet pattern holds.

What's this I hear that the tourney isn't a boat tourney? The form that I just mailed in said it was, but now I am hearing that it isn't...
I love this tourney, but it should be a boat tourney...individual format is nothing but a breeding ground for cheating...regardless of whether it is a big money tourney or not, it is human nature.

Come on chris not this again this year. Its the 13th annual same rules as it has been every other year. We have a board of directors that set the rules. You also got sent the right copy in the mail so don't be to shocked. We also have a team trail if you want to fish a team event. Just not free beer and pizza.

I know that it has been the same way for a long time...I've fished it a long time. I was just excited that a change had been made. I'm obviously still going to fish it it as it is a great time. I guess I will just never understand why a format that promotes a team atmosphere (which is exactly what it is) hasn't been adopted when there is obviously an interest in other ways. Like I said, I'm not going to stop fishing it, just thought that a change was made. I fish this as a way to get out prior to season opening, but honestly see no chance in going back to Iowa once season opens up here. Thanks for the invite though...see you in a month.

The reason it is not a team tourney is because there are several people that fish 3 out of a boat and havee for many years. If you go to teams we may lose contestents and we feel there is no gain. It is not fair to have a teams of 2 and teams of 3 or more compete against each other. That is our thoughts atleast . Hopefully there will be no cheating I think last year went good. Brushy creek team trail is may 5th

I understand that, but the solution is limit it to 2 per boat...lose a few gain many. I could be wrong though.
I don't even need to bring my boat to fish Brushy (the walk back up the hill sucks though).

I agree 2 man teams is the way to go it should have been that way to begin with. Y ou need to voice your opinion to mccabe this year. Have to fish in the boat during the trail events though might be able to go down the spillway but it will be tough getting it up it. Not many fish left down there anyway they ate them all.
