Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Will be headed up to Nestor Falls on Friday from Central WI, and Nestor Falls to Cedar Lake Saturday. How's the drive headed north? Detours, recommendation's etc.

| If you're taking 53 north through Chippewa Falls, Rice Lake, Superior, etc., You will be detoured through Superior. The Blatnik Bridge (HWY 53) is closed to north bound traffic (It is open to south bound traffic, though). They will have you take US 2 (Belknap St) through Superior and take the Bong Bridge over to Duluth. Take the first right over the Bong Bridge and You'll be on 35. Take the 53 north exit to the left and you'll be on your way. There is some road construction north of Minong (2 lanes instead of 4) for about 5 miles. No detour. There is also some road construction for about 10 or 15 miles in random places between Hermantown and Eveleth. Good Luck in Nestor. |

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Brandon- Thanks, This year Nestor Falls is a stop over - don't like driving at night in NW Ontario, too many moose & bears at night, and they tend to just appear like a big black Houdini apparition and scare the living crap out of you!

| When you're up at Nester Falls grab some food at "Greens." It is right by the actually falls, pretty good prices, has a bunch of big fish hanging up on the walls and you can fill your boat gas up while you eat. |

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Thanks, Green's is a must stop on every trip. I am always amazed by the photo of the huge bull moose & human skeleton with the gun. To bad some nice tryhole stole the original, the last time I was in they had a repro from a photo someone took of the original. Also, gotta stop at the Pro Shop & say hi to Phil & get our license's Saturday AM.
