Posts: 56 Location: Stanley, WI | I am planning a fishing trip for 6-8 guys in Vilas County sometime in July. Last year we stayed on Buckatabon Lake, but I am hoping to stay closer to the Boulder Junction area this year . We usually just have tents, but we need enough room to park 3-4 vehicles with boats. I am having a hard time finding a campground in this area. I know there are several Forest Campgrounds in the area, but I am not sure if I am able to reserve these sights. Just looking for any ideas or suggestions. Thanks.

Location: Hartford Wi | Razorback Lake I just stayed there this weekend. Was alittle close and lots of lakes around! Cheap also as to it is a state camp ground

Posts: 3475 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | I've stayed at Camp Holiday a couple of times just outside of boulder junction. Decent place, good showers and depending on how busy, there should be room for your group. Definitely not on a body of water you would fish, but it has a fairly good location as a base camp... Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Crystal Lake and Clear Lake are the only state campgrounds in that area that take reservations as far as I'm aware. You can call the hotline, or check availability through the DNR website at this link: http://wisconsinstateparks.reserveamerica.com/campgroundSearchResul... Edited by Reef Hawg 5/29/2012 3:47 PM

Posts: 566 Location: Elgin, IL | I have heard some really good things about the campgrounds already mentioned. But, If you change your mind about camping, The Boulder Junction Motor Lodge is tough to beat. I stay there and it's top notch.
