Hey guys, I am looking at getting a new reel for my St. Croix Big Dawg. But, I am stuck between the normal 400TE and the 400TELJV.

What are the differences between the two?

I have a LJV on a sling blade. I absolutely love it. The LJV has a power handle, extra bearings, and a cast alum. frame. Go to the Shimano website in the freshwater round reels section and you'll be able to find a comparison section for all the calcutta reels.
