Posts: 489 | It has been a fun project so far. I have gotten to learn a little about the boat by tearing into it. Good winter project to keep me sane. I just thought i would post some pics of the whole process because i know it was hard to find any info on what i was getting into and it would have been nice to have some pics of what was under the floor. Maybe i will be able to help someone out that is intimidated like i was by the project.

Location: Eastern Ontario | After cutting your wood to shape you may want to give a couple coats of resin especially the edges or at least a couple coats of marine paint.

Posts: 489 | Thanks for the tips. I was planning to coat the new floor before carpeting it. The previous floor rotted due to the previous owner storing the boat outside w/o a cover for atleast 4 ohio winters. with that said the 200 optimax only has about 30 hours on it and its an 04 and runs great. With a little TLC i will have avery nice fishing boat for 16,000.

Location: Eastern Ontario | Carpet hides many sins but if I were doing it again I think I would look for somthing that didn't hold water without being slipery Vinel or maybe somthing like bed liner though that may be heavy. I hate having my hatches froze up in late fall or not being able to put my cover on till the carpet dries out Edited by horsehunter 2/20/2012 7:54 AM
