Posts: 16 | I looking to match two rods with Revo Toro 60 HS and a Revo Toro 60 Winch. I am going up to Eagle Lake in Ontario Canada in a few months and these will be my two primary Musky Rods. I need them to cover the most situations. What are the two complementary rods would you recommend. I leaning towards 8' rods. Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | Need to know what you mean by "I need them to cover the most situations." Personally, I have many muskies lures and some say too many, but to take them all to Eagle for "most situations" would be impossible. I'm sure some on this board would be able to help you out if you gave them a more precise time frame so they could give you possible situations you may have. Once you know that and what presentation you are looking at, you can get a better idea of what you need for rods.

Posts: 16 | I will be going up to Eagle Lake June 19-26. My reserch suggests alot of buck tails. Again, I am open to all any any suggestions. People are saying good things about Okuma and Tackle Industries. Thanks again.

Posts: 906 Location: Canada | I'd probably put the winch on a 8' Heavy Fast and the high speed on a 8' XH or 8'6" XH.

Posts: 82 Location: Minneapolis,Mn | I have the Tackle Industries 8'6"/9' Mag Heavy, paired with a Toro 60, and the rods ,are light and tough as nails!,cheaper too.. Will save you a few bucks. Best way, is to check out all the rods, your considering, cause after all, it's all personal preference! I did own the Big Dawg rod but traded it in for a Thorne Bros. Predator and a Trinidad!
