So how did it go today? I wanted to fish it as the fishing has been incredible for me lately but had to coach the soccer team today.

Lots of fish caught? Any info would be great!

21 fish larger than 40" were caught. Largest was 53.5 by Joe Peterson, owner of TrueGlide baits, on one pf his own balts on Tonka. The 53.5 was only good enough for second place. First place was a pair of fish from White Bear. Half of the fish came out of Tonka. Over 200 people fished the Tourney, and over 100 went to the feed at Thornes where they ate the best pork chops ever.

Sure sounds like the fish were active.

Are they planning on this next year? I would have fished it, but my kids had soccer in the morning and we had a wedding in the afternoon. :-(

It will be around next year, plan for Oct, the main reason is getting permit for tonka. It was a great event and thanks to all those that fished it, Pork chops were excellent, only a handfull left after the event. It will go along ways to helping the metro fishery and continue it success. thanks to thornes, frankies, Musky mayhem, Musky innovations, Phantom lures and many other great supporters. Look for bigger and better next year.

Fishing was tough for our boat, Stenders fish came at 2:15, sounds like more fish were caught around then. We couldnt move anything in the morning.

Kwick-

You were on the wrong lake. Should have been on Tonka. That is where the bite has been lately.

Not nearly as much as I would like. I have been teaching and coaching a lot. I have had time for 2 guide trips for clients and a couple just for my own fun. I have been doing well when I have been able to get out. I am hoping to get my dad out on Saturday, just have not decided what lake I am going to yet It will be hard to go anywhere other than TONKA........we will see.
