I don't remember the water temp but I caught one 1 week before ice up last fall on a dbl 10.

Yet to have a fish even chase any of my big blades...still trying though. They favor my older baits, or whatever I don't want to throw

Had a 49 visit the boat two years ago over shallow weeds with a 37 degree water temp and a burned dbl showgirl.
