We are celebrating our 32nd Anniversary by spending Friday night through Monday late afternoon up with great friends on Crescent Lake in the Rhinelander, WI area. Fishing has been somewhat tough todate, so it will be great getting there just as all hell breaks loose!!!!...................................................I hope!

Going to the brewer game tommorrow night. The Mallards game on sat. Don't know if I'll get out this weekend or not. If I do any fishing it will walleye fishing on the mad chain with the water temps.

Steve,
I will be up in that area with my boy's until July 5th. Leaving Friday & staying on Nokomis, but plan of fishing Cresent one day as well. I have only fished it once. My goal for this season is to get my son (Joey 10yrs old) on a Muskie over 30" (CPR). I would like to learn some of the local lakes/rivers in that area, Nokomis is very difficult to muskie fish & the boat traffic can get intense during the day, not to mention I love fishing weeds & I can't find them on Nokomis. In 2 yeas of limited muskie fishing there, I have only moved 2 & hooked up & lost one. I have not tried Boom yet & I would like to give it a shot. I don't know where the launch is, but figure it will be on the map. I love reading the league reports & would like to meet some of the guy's that know this area, with hopes of learing something in the process. Best luck & be safe out there.

Any tips would be great! Just send me a PM & any info will be a guarded secret with me..

Thanks,
Mike

LOTW for Operation Muskie. I hope to get some of our very deserving soldiers a shot at some fish.

Thanks to all those from this site that donated to make this happen.

mike ... shoot me a pm or a phone call 715.493.7848 ... would be glad to help if i can on the area lakes so you can help out your son ... some good ones to pick from all very close and easy to get to. there are some consistent spots on some of these that seem to produce year over year. boom is a favorite and one you should really give a shot ...

clear water - crescent
darker - oneida, boom, julia, george

i hope you're able to meet your goal with your son!

all I can say is Crescent hasnt been then best this year. I got a 33"er last week but havn't seen many fish and the ones that are chasing are 6-8ft behind the lure. Lots and lots of pollen on the water

dtaijo174, learn to say no...i did, makes summers a lot more fun! unless you're close to the people getting married, nobody really cares if you show up as long as you send a gift! saves them money, too.

Heading to Madison for a Montana buddy's wedding. Will be nice to be off the water for a change.
Then back filming river muskies with Tanner and Gordy for most of next week so I'll get my water time back. Best of luck to everyone.
