I love them. The waters I fish have tons of bullheads in them. I had Live Action lures make me some bullhead Big Joes over 10 years ago ( Black and Yellow ) they are one of my top baits. I have some bullhead colored mag dawgs also.
Im working with Monster lures right now for a new 2013 show color for Squirkos called bullhead. Also Muskie train will have a bullhead color for 2013 shows. I pick up my prototypes Monday to use for this season.
When the water starts to get stained they really work well for me.

I used to fish with ACTUAL bullheads from the dock off Lake Calhoun in MN before I had my boat, a bait store down the street used to sell them. they stayed alive on the hook #*^@ near all day, got lots of action on them! Even caught a snapping turtle!

Location: Cave Run Lake KY.
When I first saw the bullhead baits at the very first muskie expo in Milw, I thought they will never sell, and if you do catch a musky on one it will just eat it up. NOW I have 14 of them in my tackel box! The first musky I caught out of Cave Run came on a black and orange Bullhead. I thought I was wrong once but then I found out I was mistaken.
