The Castor is a thing of the past, so hold on to them.
The Perka family will have at least one new member, and maybe 2 or 3.
Right now I have 150 lure bodies ready that are like having a 7" perch in your hand.
I am going to start painting those first when I start production.
There will be the regular 7" Perkas, and depending on time, there might be a swimming tail Perka that will be a little over 7" long with and easy change 4" Kalin tail that would make the total length almost 9".
I have a very limited run of Big Beaverturds coming out with a new way of attaching the Flaptail that will make it easier to work and make the butt end more active.
Then just in time for fall, I'm going to do a limited run of 10"x 1" gliders made out of maple that will be long slow gliders with a completely different shape than the Castors had.
As you've probably read, watch for the new paint jobs from "The Chrome Team" as Stan and I continue to experiment and expand the kinds of colors available for you guys that think color might have something to do with catching fish. Pinstriping is also making it's way into some of my color patterns.
Can't wait to start creating some new toys for the boys.

Holcom tackle globe is awesome I have had mine on the water already but if you really want to make it sing to the fishes, tear it down, put a 1/8" square brass tube in the head, drill the center blade hole a little larger and put it back together with the screws a little looser and WOW. The voices in my head just wont stop. The new thumpertail doubleblades are awesome tooo. I also have some Muskynightmare baits to try out this season. Last but not least is my new creeper for this year( Creepin Freaky Frog) Its just too cool.Doug

Well at the Madison Fishing Expo, I added a couple of Ducktails keel weighted bucktails w/ single hook - the can be Texas Rigged for deep slop exploration. Definitely a good feature, especially for the kid's. (left one for Jazzy - right one is X-man's) to the 2006 show lure aquisitions. These are some the sweetest bucktails out there. The other lures to the right in the last photo are from the Muskie Madness show. A complete description is here

Let's go fishin'!

Gene "Wyde Glyde' Richardson had some 6 inch jerks at my MI chapter meeting, I got to try one out and it will probably be my second-favorite jerkbait, now.
I scored a Snowcrest Globe over the winter that I'm real excited about trying later when the topwater bite develops.
I really like the stuff Hawg Seekers has out, need to spend some more time with those in the water. m

My new stuff includes some of the Muskynightmare Nessas. Really liked the action of the squared off lip in the pool in La Crosse. I plan on trolling it some to see if I can get that twitching action to work on the troll. The other bait is my new go-to spring bait from Hawgseekers. It's the Bassnatcher. Hooks need to be upgraded but its the perfect size.

so far not all that much:
- a pounder dawg
- a few 6" and 9" bulldawgs
- two small 4" floating fatso jerkbaits that suspend on a jerkbait leader
- soon a stalker, jointed swim whizz, bomber long A and a jt shallowraider
- a lipless crankbait
- 2 small deep diving cranks for perch and zander

I traded most lures for others so, besides the dawgs, no new purchases
