| Just curious as to your opinions on when to put the topwaters away for the year. Do you shelve them when the water hits a certain temp, or just as a natural progression to things you think work better? OR do you just chuck the topwater stuff til they're bouncing off the ice?

Location: Alexandria, MN | I caught my largest of last year in the middle of October in 38 degree water on a Jackpot.
I don't think the "prop" or "buzz" type of topwater lures would get thrown much in the late fall,
but you never know. If there is a good warmup and the fish get shallow and active, they will hit a
top raider or pacemaker. I tend to go with bigger and slower lures.
I would say below 50 degrees the prop/buzz lures get put away until next year or until that nice warm
fall day.
I will toss the Jackpot (cuz I don't have a Weagle) until the ice forms. I love the
topwater walk the dogs!

| Topwater season never ends, use them from ice out to ice up!
