how does the intake air stay clean on a mercury pro xs 115 ? Just briefly googled it but not much out there. Is there a filter of some kind? I don't have a manual.

I doubt there would be any issue with air intake as dust, debris, etc usually will not get in an outboard. I don't believe there is a filter of any kind, but I do not have any experience with that engine so I could be completely off base...
