Posts: 63 | I have been in northern wi for two days and haven't had any contact with any fish. Water temps are about 50 degrees. Air temps the next couple days I am here will be 60 degrees. I have tried everything from mid-lake humps, weed edges, steep breaks, etc. Anybody have a suggestion on what to look for structure wise? Also how deep I should keep my boat in. Usually we have an idea by now, but just seeing if anyone has any ideas.

Posts: 63 | I’m on Lake Namakagon if you’re familiar with the area! This sucker shortage really threw a curveball. We found 3 when we first got here but they’ve since died, so now we are without the extra help from those.

Posts: 255 | a lakelink post i read this morning shared the same exact frustrations on an Oneida County lake from Wednesday. Stay the course and you could have 3 by noon today, or maybe not. I'd rather be fishing than at work today.

Posts: 63 | Lesson learned today, if you only have a dead sucker, put it out! We got a 41.5 incher in the boat this afternoon on a dead one! For sure a lesson learned today!

Posts: 8729 | The last time we fished Namekagon at this time of year the fish were all found very shallow in whatever remaining green weeds we could find. One fish on a Burt, missed one on a Wabull. All the other action was from Pike and there were a lot of them. Soft tail gliders seemed to be best, though one guy in our group got a 46" throwing double 10's.

Posts: 20181 Location: oswego, il | My understanding is namekagon is very low density so expect more fishless days than not. Our club rented a house on it for a club outing coming up and I don't know anyone who is actually fishing the lake. Edited by ToddM 10/19/2019 10:51 AM
