| For the guys up in Vilas, with the late ice out do you think the spawn will impact the opener? Or do you think most fish will have spawned and started feeding again by then? I realize there is some variation depending on lake characteristics. Thanks in advance for any input. We will be on the Mani Chain for week starting on opener. |

| I am Oneida County and the muskies were spawning by my place last weekend. The ice on the lake where I live went out two days before the general opener. |

FYI the Manitowish chain is very low. I'm guessing 2 feet, possibly more. |

Location: Manitowish Waters WI | Muskies seem to be on the feed. Had two fish over the last two outings eat crappies and walleyes. Careful on the chain, very low. Going from stone to fawn is a mine field, Wild rice to Alder is not navigable, and Manitowish to Alder is a brave run. Chain dropped 2 inches since Saturday. With no rain it will continue to drop. |
