Posts: 3136 | Well your going to run right into the Frank Schneider musky tournament that Fri,sat and sun,,over 500 musky anglers fish it with the biggest turnout on leech and cass and lake bemidji,,so you will have plenty of reports,,,in fact you and your buddies should fish it you can sign up at reeds sporting goods when your there this is a family oriented more for fun then competition tournament with dinner feeds every night with door prizes games with other musky anglers and plenty of reports and if you catch just one tournament size musky in three days your entered into the grand prize. Beginners luck has taken a lot of prizes out of this thing over the years. Edited by happy hooker 8/23/2018 6:59 AM

Posts: 221 | Those are two pretty tough bodies of water to just jump into, especially Cass. Early september is usually the start of a good shallow bite. If you aren't looking to hire a guide, I'd spend the first day just driving around and mapping out cabbage to come back to fish.

Posts: 343 | Leech is a scary big body of water, if you are bringing your own boat make sure it is good sized. Purple bucktails are a good starting point on Leech along with tailspin topwaters. Several great rock reefs, Submarine, Pelican, Red Rocks. Also might look in the bulrushes. Great looking spotted muskies in both. The guide suggestion is a good call. I'm a Wyoming boy myself, good luck.
