is that a good choice for spring excursion? is that something more suitable for rain or a good all around jacket ?

My only concern with the neoprene is breathability. But I have no firsthand experience with the stuff.

good point.neoprene is the kind of thing that is not good when you have to move a lot. it could be more suited for hunting, but the look of that jacket is so nice

Its a great jacket. I've had one for 3 years. Its the 2nd Stryker jacket I have had. I would not wear it on any day over 50. It would be too hot...unless your end goal is to loose water weight
