I am looking to pick up a new reel. I am stuck between 2 options and would like to hear what you'all think before I pull the trigger.

Calcutta 400D or a Traxx 400AHG

Thank you in advance.

I have a calcutta D, really happy with it, its smooth and bullet proof.
I have also read very positive things about the 400 tranx

If i was you, i would go to a store and see what reel fits best in your hands, and base my choice on that, you cant go wrong with eighter

Drastic difference in look and feel. Do you prefer a round reel or low profile reel? I myself think I would choose the Tranx. They are both built great. I prefer thr feel of a low pro reel.

what are you planning on using it for? What bait styles? I prefer the tranx 400's to the calcutta D's, but the 400A may be better for you than the 400AHG based on what you are using it for.
