| Wondering what the farthest west lakes are in the southern wisconsin area are. The area that opens earlier than the northern region.

Location: oswego, il | You can go the WDNR website and download the musky lakes list by county. They also designate the musky lake classification, access and size. |

Location: oswego, il | Yellowstone is west, redstone farther north, there is a lake stocked around lacrosse too. There are others south of rt10 best to look at the musky lake by county pdf.

Location: Almond, WI | Lake Neshonoc is the one in LaCrosse County and would be furthest west. Don't know much about it though.
If you have a small boat or canoe, the Black River might be a possibility. Lake Arbutus (a Black River flowage) holds muskies, no idea as to density though--last stocked in 1992 but the Black River is a natural population anyway. The Black River itself is known for action, guys generally float it in a canoe. |

| Anyone know anything about neshonoc? Looks like the lacrosse MI held their league there last year but I haven't seen results |

Location: one foot over the line | Neshonoc is a few miles away from me. I fish it on tournament nights. I have encountered a couple of fish and some guys have caught some. I still put the miles on to fish other locations, but for a quick little evening, there is a chance.
