I’m adding two trolling reels to my set up this year. I’ve decided to go with the Shimano Tekota’s. Is the 500 or 600 better for musky trolling? Mostly inland lakes, maybe some Green Bay.

Good choice, for Muskies, 500 is sufficient.

Ive used both 500's for down rods and 600's for boards. If I was buying now I would buy 600's often run long leads on the Larry

I have both, and have switched to all 500's and use my 600's for my salmon spread. The 500 is more than enough in regards to line capacity and drag. Its also lighter than the 600.
