Posts: 118 Location: Minnesota | Kurt, I would try a super model off the deep edge. With the amount of rain we got the last couple days, no telling where they have moved to now. Edited by W8N4SNO 10/3/2017 10:22 AM

Posts: 90 | How did it go for you? I was out there yesterday and saw a few muskie boats. Had one follow, maybe a 30" fish. I would like to fish this lake and believe it to be okay, but looking at the metro tournament results and dnr lakefinder, seems like it was better around 2010. Minnetonka seems like the place to be now, especially with the recreational boaters gone now.

Posts: 607 Location: Bloomington, MN | I was also out yesterday, and the water sure was clear. We saw two laying up on the reefs, one small and one over 45", and managed a 19.5" bass on a double 8. There was one of the largest flocks of coots I've ever seen on the west end of the lake.

Posts: 90 | Clark, awesome bass. I also managed a 19.5" bass that was blind in one eye and barley weighed 3 pounds. Came across a 34" northern too I thought was a muskie. I will be spending the rest of my fall at Indy and Tonka..

Posts: 607 Location: Bloomington, MN | I last fished Waconia for 3 days in early July and saw only 1 muskie (??46"ish), but we did get two nice northerns 36" & 35.5". I really enjoyed spending a half day for gills and crappies. I hope there is still a fishable population, but reports seem bleak.

Posts: 714 | When the coots show up it gets really tough out there. Imagine hundreds of big macs in front of you all day just sitting there ready to be eaten at will. They don't stay hungry very long this time of year. Edited by bturg 10/13/2017 10:52 PM

Posts: 607 Location: Bloomington, MN | I saw 2 other boats pitchin' baits on the gin clear pond, and yes I did see one incredibly cute 24" Spotted, and boated a pike. If the lake still had a good population, I'm thinking more may have been out. I pretty much know I couldn't catch a muskie in a closet, so I'm not the one to base how good the fishery is or isn't I will be back next year for the giils and crappies.

Posts: 90 | Can't tell if I'm catching shoepacks or leechers out of here. An older gentleman caught a 52" 35 lb. Earlier in the month fishing for bass with a small 3 inch sucker minnow. Temps were 47. Saw a few other boats running and gunning, lake was very empty for a Saturday.
