Anyone willing to share some "words of wisdom" for the bay in early to mid July. Structure, patterns and lures. My dad and I are heading up for the first time this summer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PM if that works better.

Thank you

Fish all sorts of structure and fish them fast. Rocks, reefs, weeds, sand. Figure it a pattern and hit everything that looks like it. I'm by no means an expert but this seems to have worked ok for me. Fish spots quickly, I struggle with this the most.

Stay at a muskie camp and hire a guide for your first day.

What Pointer said... Plus... Weagle baby.

Evenings have been the best for me in Sabaskong.

Saddles... Find the saddles.

Good luck.

I'm also making my first trip next summer. July 19-24 Mylies. Wondering what colors of baits I'd want to throw. Natural colors? Bright florescent colors?

In the end i don't think it really matters. I've had the best luck with Gold\Gold but i'm sure if i was throwing Pink\Green the fish probably would have hit. Just make sure your on the water for your majors and minors and you will see fish. Weather\location\moon\sun are way more important than color.

Go to Tamarack Island lodge. He has the 3 most important things you need LOCATION LOCATION AND LOCATION. Look at a map and you'll see what I mean.
