I'll be staying in the st. Cloud area and would like to find a lake to fish. It needs to be between st. Cloud and the twin cities. Any input would be great. I'm taking a guy out for his first time and have never fished any lakes in the area. I generally fish Leech and Vermilion. Thanks!!

Sugar is right outside of St Cloud, gets a lot of fishing pressure but there are some big fish.

Mississippi River is low and hazardous right now for anyone who isn't familiar with it.

Maxwell Bay is a good one. Especially during the week, not too busy.

Anyone have any luck around the blanchard dam? Will be fishing from shore and moving south throughout the day to the st. Cloud fishing pier. Any insight would be great.

miltona would be about the same distance as Tonka from St. Cloud. I would hit miltona over Tonka any day if given a choice.

Bring your walleye gear. Chances are not good for muskie off shore but you never know I guess.

Good call, the guys next to me were catching 2-5 pound walleyes, three guys had their limit on them.
