| Hello
I am starting a new hobby - making lures. I need some help finding sources for components. Most of the usual sources are very expensive.
Has anyone have any suggestions for musky spinner skirt materials in bulk for a reasonable price? |

I concur with the others that Dick Moore is an excellent source of knowledge and materials. I encourage you to check out Dick's vise for tying coils, spinnerbait (single) hooks and treble hooks. I will readily admit that his vise and cartridges are a bit on the spendy side, but they are worth it! The vise is very well thought out and built like a tank. I have other vises on the bench, but almost always use Dick's vise.
If you are a novice, consider taking a course over the winter/spring that covers tying flies typically used when fishing trout. You will quickly learn a handful of techniques that you can readily adapt to lures for pike/muskies. Many sport and fly shops teach such courses over the winter. This is how I got started.
It's quite gratifying to catch a nice fish on a lure that I made. The combinations of designs and materials is seemingly endless.
