I've done some searching here and can't seem to find much about Planer Mast Boards and the clips people use while using these systems. Does anyone have some good plans to build planer mast boards and could someone shed light on the mast line release clips that are used for muskie baits.

The releases are here: http://www.offshoretackle.com/prelease.htm. I'd check the Michigan Sportsman forum for plans for boards.

Scotty with the 2 red lines seems to hold better than the Offshore. Its called the Snapper not sure if they sell it for planner boards we buy downrigger releases cut off the leader and attach shower curtain rings. get good rings from hardware store not dollar store

We troll a good bit with a mast system. Honestly we prefer shower curtain rings and #32 rubber bands. They hold great, if you go to bigger lures we double up the rubber bands. Very cheap and effective set up
