Was thinking about giving Mille Lacs a try here in the next few weeks. Any tips on how to efficiently work the big structure?

I know a lot of guys have been trolling and catching them, but I'd like to cast the peak times of the day to see what turns up. I've been out there a few times and it's always a tough decision to decide how long to fish a certain piece of structure when the structure could take a couple hours to work.

Would like to fish some sand/cabbage on the north end of the lake. Would you guys just cast the whole stretch of weeds or just focus on spot hopping from the points, inside turns, etc? Thanks for the input!

If you choose the isle area try around hennepin island as well.

Anyone ever cast the north end? I know theres some cabbage patches that should hold fish, but this time of year would you guys stick to the main break or move into the shallow sand?
