When to use both? I seem to throw and troll straight cranks about 85-90% of the time and jointed only when the fish are super negative.

Thoughts?

I like straight cranks 99% of the time for all fish (Walleye, bass, musky, salmon). I feel like they swim more erratically rather than just wobbling. The only time I use a jointed crank is when pulling really really slow. If I want to throw an extra line out the back while casting Ill put a big jointed believer out. Also Ill do it while walleye trolling just in case a musky shows up. They work at under 1mph really nice.

I mix them in every trip. I definitely do better with jointed baits in the summer over any other time of year. I like the added sound in dirty water with jointed baits too.
