Has anyone ever made a mold with a lip slot in it. I am about to make a mold with  the lip slot in it, I know what angle I want, I am just wondering how the slot will hold up in the mold. I also would consider putting the lip in when I pour the resin into the mold, This is for a musky lure 8" long and a 2" lip by 3/16" thick. I would like to have a aluminum mold made but too costly unless there is somebody that could make one for a few hundred bucks!!  I know just asking! Any suggestions would help. I would be making the mold out of silicone rubber.
Thanks guys
Wayne

silicone will hold the lip,so when you make your master you keep the lip

So when you say "make your master you keep the lip" are you saying keep the lip in the master so I can pour the lure with the lip in it, I am trying to make up my mind lip in or lip out with just the slot. It would be nice to put the lip in when pouring but there is no room for mistakes. If anyone has poured with lip in let me know how it went.

Thanks

It's unlikely you will find someone to make an aluminum mold for a few hundred bucks, but you can mold a lip in place in one as well, plastic or whatever, and get very good results.

I use .063"  That's a 5" bait so maybe it just looks big in the photo

Thanks--- Maybe it just looks larger like you said... I know the wire on your MOLLY BAITS is Perfect size for musky lures---I have quite a few of those and they are built tough.....
