The Fox Waterway Agency announced this morning that the Fox Chain is open to no-wake boating. The river is still closed to boating.

Sorry can't give any info but how do you think the flooding is/will effect the fishing?

I honestly think fishing will be great. I would be out there every day until the open it for full boating.

They'll be in the water just waiting for you to chase them.

Water temp please. I'm willing to drive 3 hours and 45 minutes to the northeast if temps are legal.

I was out on Wednesday night when it was hot. Temps were around 78. With the cold front they should be lower.

The Fox Chain (of IL at least) is NEVER worth that long a drive...

I'm ready to do my 2 hour trip to the chain every week. It's the closest and best place to catch a Muskie for me. I'll be there Monday or Tuesday.

I thought the same thing. Aren't you closer to kinkaid or something?

Kinkaid trip would be about the same. Google says 3 hours 53 minutes. Yes, I would much rather fish Kinkaid than the Chain. I'm looking for cooler water though. I imagine Kinkaid is boiling right now!
