I've fished Vermilion several times over the years. Nothing too crazy maybe a couple times a year at most.

I've always fished the west side as a friend of mine's parents have a cabin on the west side.

I would think the super serious musky fisherman would want to be near the middle of the lake so they would have easier access to both the east and west side.

I love Vermilion. I know there's a ton of fishing pressure. I'm looking not just summer, but winter too. The snowmobiling up there is amazing.

For those of you that musky fish and snowmobile if you could pick any spot on the lake to have a cabin, where would it be?

I was looking at cabins last summer but decided it's not the right time. Kids are too busy with weekend sports. I would never make it up. 10 years from now is probably more realistic.

Daisy bay is my powerball purchase,,close to the center,,mostly protected,,quick hop into Cook for supply,,close to the casino and vermilion club for a night out. Last place I would want to live is an island, that would get old hauling supply in the rain or inch thick ice in November. just trailer over to the ash river trail from anywhere on vermilion for sleding.
