Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin

Beginning in 2017, Wisconsin anglers will be able to enter fish in a catch-and-release records category.

The Department of Natural Resources calls the program "Live Release."

The agency announced the new program in its Spring 2017 Wisconsin Fishing Report.

The DNR distributed copies of the annual publication at its booth at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show in West Allis.

"We're really excited about this initiative," said Todd Kalish, DNR deputy fisheries director. "Not only will it promote conservation and sustainability of the fishery, but over time it helps collect valuable data for anglers and the DNR on the waters of the state."

Location: Almond, WI		I'm fine with it.
I'm curious if they will recognize two separate musky divisions--WI inland and Great Lakes strain.

Location: MN		With the current focus on Catch & release this should be a given in every state. Would love to see anglers get due credit outside of a newspaper article or website post
