Thinking of heading to the Petenwell/Castle Rock area in early May.

How is the population of fish in this area?

Thank you

Location: Delavan, WI
there is a fishable population I would not recommend venturing out on your own if you have never fished it before as there is numerous unmarked hazards /shallow and current areas- consider to hire a guide to show you some spots I would recommend muskie mark or todd forcier been out with both myself and they are good guys that will put you on fish

I haven't fish there in about 7 years but we caught Muskies below castle rock dam seems to be a good population in the river there, bring walleye tackle and you might be surprised.
