Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | I ordered some braid online and I also ordered some mono to use for backing but I accidentaly ordered 12 pound mono and the braid has a 18 pound mono equivelant. Think it will still be alright for a backing? I know it's supposed to be the same diameter but I messed up. Was hoping to be fishing this weekend and can't make it to a tackle shop. I don't like using electrical tape. |

| 12 lb mono will be just fine for backing. I wouldn't worry about the backing as being the same diameter as the braid. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | Never heard that before. I put whatever junk line I have lying around on for backing. |

Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | I guess it was just another one of those "fishing misconceptions" I have. Lol |
