I am getting ready to pull the trigger on ordering my second mount. The first is my profile pic the second is a 52" blondie. The first mount faced left. Should this one face right? My original goal was to put them above the mantle with a deer/elk/moose in between. Then I realized I would need 103" of space just for the fish. (I don't have the mammal or the mantle yet). Any suggestions, ideas, or things I should consider?

Wouldn't necessarily need all that length. The fish could overlap a bit??

having one mount already, if i get another one that i want to remember, i might opt for a framed photograph vs. a second replica. i've seen some pretty high quality things some have done.

You could do a pedestal mount if you have the room for it.

I would order at the show, they usually give discounts there.

My favorite mount I ever saw was at smokeys on Pewaukee, it was an end table with the glass being the water surface and the muskie half out of it. IF I ever get a new pb on topwater or one with a great jump I will have that done.

I was hoping to be able to pick it up at the mn show and save on shipping.

I have a 360 degree replica of a 53.5" that is in a entertainment center, all glass sides and top with the back panel a mirror. Obviously no room for a fireplace mantel, but I like it. The top of the case is removable so I can turn the mount to face opposite directions every so often for the heck of it. Maybe a coffee table would be the way to go?

They usually take a year. Fittante and Lax are really busy(from what I experienced) but I guess it couldn't hurt to give them a call as most on here will tell you they are the best. I went through Fittante and he does great work. I think Lax does a really nice job on Vermilion fish though, but his are just a little shiny for my preference.
