Location: Metro | So I have had a 98 Skeeter Fish and Ski. Its a 17 foot boat and on steep ramps I am having issues with clearance. There is a support beam in the middle of the trailer that always seems to dig into the ground at certain pitches. I have never had this problem before with a boat and just wanted to see if others have ever experienced this. I am trying to figure out an easy route around this and the only one I can really think of is getting humped ramps that are long enough to get me over the slope of the hill to the point where the truck and the boat are at the same angle vs the truck being horizontal while the boat is sloped at an angle going down the ramp.
Hopefully someone has some ideas. As always I appreciate any and all comments.
thanks, |

| My dad put 3" shackles on a trailer with leaf springs to get more clearance, factory was 1". Do you have a extra ball and hitch you can use to change the trailer tongue height while at the ramp? |

Location: Metro | I have not tried using a lifted trailer hitch. I will be looking into that. |

| Are you using a receiver hitch? Possibly a higher hitch point would help? |

Location: Metro | Yea I just saw some 5in hitch lifts so hopefully that does the trick. Very inexpensive fix if it works. |

Location: NE PA | larger diameter wheels/tires helped me with this issue. |

| I have a 2014 Skeeter WX 1850 and run into the same issue at certain ramps. I love the boat but the front support beam does sit low to the ground causing a clearance issue at times. I've thought about converting to the higher hitch mount when needed. |
