Just back from a week fishing the NW angle area out of Spruce Island Camp with the wife. 42 and three 40's were the biggest with another dozen plus from 33-38. Lots of activity early in the week but activity was limited to small windows at sunset later in the week. Most fish caught on 8's, 10's and grinding crankbaits in the rocks. Only saw a couple big girls the whole trip. I missed one on the figure 8 and that was our only crack at a four footer. The bloom popped up a couple times pretty bad in the little Traverse & Tug area but we found clean water running either NE or NW about 20 minutes. Overall a good trip but would have been nice to at least see a couple more biggies.
